The narratives aim both to be valid and consistent under the different SSP worlds and to be potentially applicable for climate change analysis in Finland
Various stakeholders expressed a gratitude for bringing up global perspectives since global change greatly affect societal change and agri-food development in a small country like Finland. It was considered useful to analyse possible long run developments in agri-food sector in Finland under dufferent global scenario. Two SSP narratives were quantified using an economic sector modelling approach 2023 in KUITTI project (results available only at Finnish at the moment). Now, 2024, the co-developed SSP narratives for Finnish agri-food sector are quantified in FISCAPES project using farm and sector level economic modelling, utilising inputs from IIASA SSP database, and various other sources.
