The Urban Resilience to Extremes Sustainability Research Network (UREx SRN) co-developed six scenarios representing alternative futures for Baltimore and Central Maryland towards a more just, equitable, and resilient region in the face of climate extremes in 2080. Bringing together policy-makers, civil society, and academics, stakeholders identified overarching goals, strategies, and mechanisms to achieve the participants’ visions. Synthetic outputs included detailed social-ecological-technological pathways, future land use modeling, renderings, narratives, and qualitative resilience assessment.
Academic products are being incorporated directly in public policy documents, such as urban planning strategies.
